The Unmoved Mover

Is a bee not drawn to nectar? A heterosexual not drawn to the opposite sex? Are the birds not drawn to the skies or a philosopher to their thoughts? Is the apple not drawn to the ground and does it not fall far from the tree? And when left to nature, does the apple not then find itself becoming something else?

Does the man with disease not seek a cure?  Or do the hopeless not seek hope? Do the unhappy not long for joy or those in conflict not seek for peace? If you are at peace then it can only mean that you have found God, and if you have found God then you have found eternal life.

Perpetual motion in an isolated system violates the laws of thermodynamics, so it is impossible for something that has moved to be eternal. This explains why God is the unmoved mover; divine in nature, why God is unchanging, why God is pure love and it’s why you have that love inside of you.

The universe is not eternal, just as light is not darkness, left is not right, and north is not south. We are in temporal bodies, and as eternity exists outside of time and space, it clearly shows us that there is a God there waiting for us.

Though your body may move, in essence, you have always been you. A form  changes but you are always you in essence. Is a squashed apple in essence not still an apple? Is a disabled body not still a body consisting of blood and flesh? Forms are forever changing but you have always been you in essence. Though your forms take you to other places that distance you from where you were designed to be.

You have the gift of life, a life that has come about because you are drawn to God. Just as the Earth revolves around the sun due to the gravitational attraction between the two, you are loved by God, wanted by God, and when you open up your heart to Him, a connection is made.

Just as the one visiting the florist seeks to pick out the best flowers, or someone eating grapes picks out the brightest in colour, or the football coach selecting the best players for his team, God will come into your life if you let him, and he will pluck you from the soil and place you in the brightest vase for all to see.

Do the broken not get fixed? When you go down, do the good not run to you and try to help? The light travels faster than anything or anyone. Because as the nectar awaits the Bee, God waits for you. Align yourself in Christ and you will forever be in His field. It’s not just the Bible that teaches us this, philosophy and science teach us this, too.
